Was it bad enough she would need medical treatment?

Hello /an/

I'm really happy to introduce you to my second kitty mom, but this one is called Vanessa. Vanessa is among the most beautiful cats I've ever seen. Imo 'Cream' would suit her better as a name, since her furr is so light and creamy.

She has five beautiful baby kittens. They are six days old.

Worry number 1:
Vanessa is really skinny, so much that you can feel her spine when you pet her. She has almost no fat and ribs are easy to count too. She is a lost cat, maybe she was abandoned by her owners, maybe she just went on an adventure. But she is definetly houseraised. She is so kind.

I just gave her some wet food to fat her up, she bailed on her kittens like a hot pan, lol.

Worry number 2: While most of the kittens eat well and keep the mom painfully busy, there is the runt of the group. He is so tiny that you can see the shape of his eyes in his skull. He reminds me of a cute bug rather than a kitten because of his head shape. He is so small. I'm legitimately afraid that he won't make it. I'm going to try to give him special milk time with his mom were he doesn't have to compete with his sibling.

I'm about to weigh them soon, but I am wondering how to tell them apart and notice the progress of each individual kitty, since they look so similar after birth.

Cream, as I'm gonna call her in my head, is very worried about her kittens. At the shelter she had dragged one of her kittens into the kitty litter to protect it and hide.

She copied this behavior this night in the dead hours of the morning. She had dragged two into the kitty litter and left two little babies sobbing on the floor.

After this incident we moved her crib underneath one of the desks in hopes that she might find it more safe.

And things just get harder for Cream since she is coming off some sickness, she still has a fever (a new baked mother!) and is scheduled for another penicillin syringe after eight days, just for safety.

Despite all her physical ails and former pregnancy, she has no trouble literally climbing the room, going so far as to sit on top of the window gap. The madcat.

What exactly looks fun about a Woodcock OP? Is it the funny name? Is that the entirety of your interest in this animal? Did you make this thread because you felt clever?

The woodcock is known by many names: Its many folk names include timberdoodle, bogsucker, night partridge, brush snipe, hokumpoke, and becasse.
Personally I'm fond of bogsucker and hokumpoke. How bout you?

I think it's a meme bird. Interesting, but it doesn't need to get posted over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

That's a hoopoe. I saw one when I was deployed to Afghanistan. I was on guard duty, and the sun was just about to come up. It had it's back to me, so I thought it was a crow or something. But then it turned it's head and I clearly saw it's beak and mohawk. Was a very surreal moment.

This is a really boring story but I'm going to post it anyway

>be 9 years old
>see a bird for a split second with a pinky/peachy top half and black and white striped bottom half before it flies away
>whoah cool
>ask Dad
>"it was probably just a jay"
>look through bird book and decide it must be a hoopoe, very rare in the UK although it is occasionally seen in the summer
>it really was probably just a jay but fuck it, child-me decides it's a hoopoe
>Hoopoe has blessed me with a sighting, it becomes my favourite bird

>be 22
>labouring hard in India(I was traveling at the time)
>pissed off, aching, tired, generally unhappy
>suddenly movement in the corner of my eye
>a few metres away, stands a hoopoe
>an actual hoopoe this time, actually blessing me with a sighting
>I watch for a few minutes before it majestically flies away
>my inner child was losing it's shit

Hoopoe is best bird.

Why, when some people capture a pest, insist that drowning is a good way? It's slow, it's painful, and they have a tendency to thrash around the entire process.

Personally the best way is to smash the head in, break the neck, or a bullet to the brain. Furthermore, for the most part it's fairly bloodless.

When I see a "pest" I just put him in the desert next to my house. All that ever get is one wild mouse and some camel spiders every now and then since I keep shit clean. I really don't think there's much of a real reason to kill any "pest". There's better ways to get rid of them without having to kill them.

So at the moment i have 2 rats and 2 guinea pigs, i want to keep them, i don't want to give up owning each species but at the same time, i really want a cat.And don't any of you brainwashed retards say "cats are useless, they don't love you", also, i don't want to have a debate about cats, so don't even mention this bit.Anyway, i'm not sure if i can keep all 5, it just seems like too much, so which species should i get rid of? I don't even know if i want a cat because they live so long and i'll start wanting the other species to come back.
What do /an/?

I mean the rats will die soon so thats a plus.
>>
>>2340135
You'll have to get rid of the rats, as they'll be afraid of the cats and won't enjoy interacting with you if you smell like them. They can of course eventually get over it, especially if the cat you get is very friendly with them. But its a process. Guinea pigs are retarded and run from everything so they will be the same.

Try to get a picture of one that isn't a juvenile, as they are hard to distinguish with species.

Also it won't narrow your location down much, if at all.
