Anon, hamsters are easy. A cardboard box can substitute for a cage, just fill the bottom with something like cedar or pine chips, hang a water bottle from the side, put down a food dish, and something for exercise like a running wheel.

I use a simple pellet rifle. Doesn't kill the fuckers, but they usually don't come back.

They Are very social animals.

Definitely get another.
Don't eagle claw them if you pick them up. Scoop them so they don't panic and scoot into a corner.
Don't feed them water vegetables too much or they'll shit themselves to death.
That fluffy paper-based bedding is your friend.
They can make a LOT of noise especially when they're hungry.

cancer is fucked up. doctors don't understand it very well. there are different kinds, and treatment for one kind may not work for another. a lot of times, there's not much modern medicine can do. sorry, op.

with the mobility problems, it's probably better that your dog had an aggressive form of cancer so you'd have a good excuse to end his suffering.

It isn't doable unless you are willing to spend thousands and thousands on just the tank, and even then they won't do very well probably.

This is a palm-nut vulture. It feeds primarily on fruit, but also eats the usual vulture stuff.
