What breed do you guys think this 30lb doglet is? The pound says lab mix, but I thought he was too small to be mixed with anything but a terrier. I've had people say Aussie shepherd or border collie though.

What does /an/ think about vaquitas? There are less than 30 in the wild currently but a conservation group is trying to round them up and breed them back.

It might seem like too small of a gene pool but scientists say that there's enough diversity for success down the line. Also, California condors were apparently brought back from ~20 individuals.

So, my apartment complex doesn't allow pets and so I got a cat and I got him registered as an emotional support animal on some website and I was seeking some advice on how to approach my apartment complex. He has a certificate and an ID tag, I was hoping I wouldn't need a doctors note. I have read so much stuff back and forth about whether or not they can require a doctor's note and what they can legally say and ask. I just want to know what to expect and what the right thing to say would be. I live in Florida btw. Pic related is aformentioned cat.

Cute cat.

>>

Do you actually need the cat for emotional support?

If not, good luck with that apartment search

If yes, then I wish you good luck finding a new apartment

Seriously though if you want to live somewhere and rent you have to make sacrifices, which can include no pets. My advice would be to try and follow the rules and not try to break them, they don't need to rent to you and if you already signed a lease it's easier for them to get rid of you then let you have a cat. Considering you knew pets weren't allowed.

You will need a signed note from your therapist, because you have a therapy animal. Which means you have to pay hundreds of dollars pretending you have emotional problems which go on your records. Not a smart idea.

Legally they can ask the following:

Do you have a pet in the apartment?
You answer yes, they kick you out.

No pet means no pet, you can't break the rules because you want a pet. Next time ask the landlord before you do something that will make you homeless.

Especially by lying about it being an emotional support animal. There are people who need therapy animals, and you shit all over that by lying so you can break the rules.

That's it.

I'm done.

I live in Florida as well. They allow cats so I haven't had to go through with this. But the complex is allowed to ask for proof that you need one but from my experience they just ask for proof that the animal IS certified to be a support animal, not that you need one. Here is a video of my cat!

There's a baby seagull with a broken leg outside my apartment complex, will it make it? Should I do something about it?

Last time I reported an injured baby seagull the local wild animal rescue came and euthanized it.
11 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Euthanizing it would be better than starving and dying from exposure to elements in crippling pain due to it's injury.

Parents are probably still around feeding it. I've seen tons of one legged seagulls. Put on some good boots and climb around to see where the nest is to put it back. Or just leave it in case the parents are around, or let people come and euthanize it.
>>
The parents attack me when I try to get near it. Also the nest is up on the roof, so there's no way I'm getting it back up there. It probably got injured falling down from there (4 stories up) in the first place.

SUSPENDED will last for a week in cash outage that would kill the norm. Now the ability to survive in the rat was revealed as a skill that has never been encountered in humans before.

The Finnish sossurot is a very confusing creature. It is the only known injecting human type, it does not work and it hardly leaves home.

It now became clear that it is able to produce energy from finnish, that is, macaroni. Kela's aunts came up with a macaroni piece when they tried to find out how sossurotes avoid the drift of death in their home coffers.

Buddy rats live alone in their suicide bands with money at the end.

ALL other well-known people are dying of money laundering because they do not get food. The Sossuros survive for a couple of weeks in a cash outage where Norma would throw his life in the days. Totally without money they can do up to 8 days.

Without money leftovers, they retreat to their computers and experience a kind of macaroni dessert. Energy is saved as the movement slows down and the pulse and breathing become scarce.

When more money flows into the rat account, the vital functions normalize. After that, the customer of the coil does not seem to be a moss, but continues his chores as usual.

During macaroni dessert, rat cells adapt to using plain macaroni instead of the conventional protein as their source of nutrition. To date, no one has been known to be able to do this.

There is no other species of organisms capable of efficient utilization of MAKARON. The transport proteins and enzymes needed for salmonella occur abundantly around the body. Therefore, its tissues will not be damaged by intermittent lack of money.

If these transport proteins and enzymes were also brought to the human brain and heart, for example, quick-flanges would not do so much damage, the aunts of the coil will sag. As a result of an instant buoy, a debt rally is usually due to the permanently negative income as interest rates rise.

because it is night time, most birds are complete shit in the darkness. They are so completely and totally reliant on their sight for hunting that putting them in darkness makes them automatically calm down and go into a stand by mode. on the flipside, Owls become like that in the day when the hawks are about

I stopped feeding this stray cat thats always around, stop giving it treats etc.
Because i believe it needs to go take some innitiative to take care of itself, hell even my parents' cat who's well fed can't ignore its instincts and catches all sorts of rodents and birds.

Must i ignore it completely to get my change of heart accross, would it get confused if i only would pet it when crossing.

All the cat knows is that you used to be kind and give it food and now you don't. Do some research about the health risks of letting your (or any) cat 'hunt'. This is a domestic cat who has most likely never had to fend for himself like you described - his entire life has been set up for him since birth to receive food from humans.

In other words, unless you are literally facing a financial deficit in your bank account, feeding the cat is the humane thing to do.

I hope the poor guy isn't starving because of you.

Are ferrets fine with small apartments and no outdoor access other than on leash?

Yes, but you'll regret the stank.

And man, will it stank in your apartment. I'm not even talking about the musky ferret aroma, I mean the fact that they are shitting machines. Their shit is soft and extremely smelly.

Trust me, I owned and bred them for years. Best pets on earth, but there is no way I would keep them in an apartment.

Mentally, they will be fine, its you that will have the issues.

/herp/ officially official all purpose care sheet of wonder and magic

>sand a shit
>use a thermostat
>read all the caresheets
>set up your tank before you get your herp
>regulate temps & humidity levels prior to herp arrival
>do not fuck with (handle) your herp for at least 7 days after bringing it home and ideally wait until herp has eaten at least one meal (for snakes), two meals for lizards, frogs, etc.
>PVC tanks are way better for most applications and worth the extra money
>it is best to avoid chain pet stores when looking to purchase live animals as mass breeder suppliers are not especially careful about health and sound genetics... it often saves you money long term to spend a little extra up front to get a healthy animal

>Jump Start (formerly Hydrofarm) thermostat is a good basic and inexpensive thermostat for regulating ceramic heat emitters and under tank heaters (Amazon sells it)
>if you want something more advanced for temperature control, look at Herpstat products

Cat story
His name is cougar and he is the best
he just lays around on your bed being cute
he likes to drink water from the faucet
Im just a little kid and I love him
In the morning when I open the garage door I follow him outside and see what he does and protect him
Late at night I remember him always walking in underneath the garage door. A few nights he would come home all slashed up from other animals and he was a fucking trooper and didn't let it bother him, even when his neck was slashed.
I remember beating some crows with a tennis racket when they were attacking my cat.

Hey /an/, I didn't really know what other board to post this on, or who would appreciate it, but I had an adventure in toxinology today on a whim. I had to kill an underground yellow jacket nest for my parents, and it was a hard fought battle alright, only stung a total of three times, but I killed around 200 yellow jackets in total. Today, I separated their abdomens, which took a good bit of time, from the rest of their body in an attempt to extract the venom. Pic related is what ~185 yellow jackets look like in a small mortar/pestle bowl.

Here we are about halfway through the grinding process. added about 8ml of water to aid with the disintegration, hopefully that was ok to cut with and won't dilute the venom. The goop took on a nasty green tinge and smelled even worse.
