If you've got a Mutt or a Mixed breed dog let me see them! Bonus points if you can actually tell me what type of mixes they are. If you could mix two breeds what would your ideal mix be?

This is Roxie, she's a Shepard mutt of some type, no damn clue. Weighs about 45 lbs and is super sweet. She's a very good girl.

My understanding that this tiny 30lb faggot is a lab mix of some kind according to the pound. I've heard people say he's part Australian cattle dog or something but he's way too small so I really have no idea.

So I was doing some yard work today when this one pronged space unicorn attempted to sexually assault me.

What the hell is it?

My searches turn up nothing quite like it.

>>

That's quite formidable. So significant sizes are possible, it seems.
Does blood provide the nutrients required to support larger animals, like primates for instance? Could a larger predator develop to subsist entirely on blood, realistically?

I acknowledge my questions are fueled mostly by a childish curiosity that must seem juvenile, but I'm seriously interested in hypothetical nature and vampirism in larger animals.
>>
>>2438042
In theory, yes. But in reality there are no hosts big enough where something the size of a monkey could just latch on and succ unnoticed.

are australian animals really that scary?

Country Ausfag here.

Yes and no.

By and large 99% of them just want to be left the fuck alone and will only really arc up when some cunt pisses them off, but if they do get angry then they can fuck you up.

But almost always they're not interested in that, with some notable exceptions. Breeding season Sydney funnel webs get pretty angry and they roam which means you can find them on the back lawn or (occasionally) in the house. Cassowaries are rare, and you have to be pretty unlucky to find one in the mood for ruining your day. There is a couple of different snakes that'll chase you if they're in the mood, but again you have to be pretty unlucky.

As far as the flora and fauna are concerned, the price of living in Australia is eternal vigilance. Living with the wildlife is easy provided you take precautions and know what you are dealing with if one of them does get pissed off that his great new home turns out to be your gumboot.

tl;dr: If you go sticking your dick into stupid places without checking that happens to have an animal that does not take kindly to your presence, it will hurt you. What a fucking shocker.

I live in Melbourne's suburban areas and I have not seen any of Australia's dangerous animals. Yes spiders are everywhere, like anywhere else on Earth, but most of them are either daddy long-legs or huntsmans (both non-lethal). Unless you are in the outback/countryside you won't run into anything that could kill you.

Greetings from /tg/, I've got a question about beetles that you all may have an answer for.

I'm planning on potentially raising some dynastes species with my brother, mostly for fun. But we also got to thinking about what we would do with the shells when they pass.

My idea was to somehow preserve them and utilize them in conversions for warhammer. Just whole pieces, nothing too ambitious, a head here and there, maybe more. But my question was if this is even feasible? I know people usually pin hard shelled beetles without any other preservation, but then they get hung on a wall and not touched. Would they withstand some light handling as time goes on? Could I potentially coat them in a plastic or painting hard coat? Google is leaving me high and dry right now.

>>
>>2437058
the handling shouldn't be a problem I think. I've kept dead stag beetles stored dry for months before I went on to pin them and I was still able to move and bend the legs without them breaking.
I don't think paint would pose much of a problem either, chitin is pretty tough. might help to still read up on the chemical characteristics of it though.
>>
>>2437072
Thanks for the input. That also makes me think of the issue with affixing pieces. I need to read up on if glue/pinning/epoxy would be best. Thanks again.

Do some people have less emotional range than other people, like an animal?

>gentle, considerate. and empathetic
only applies to mammal fags, and even then, the empathy is often limited to animals, turning them into "kill human to save animal" misanthropes.
>>
>>2436753
Yes, they're called men. And animals have an actual emotional range.

Hey /an/ I was wondering if anyone could recommend some documentaries on massive freshwater fish.
I love aquatic life and because ive always gone fishing in freshwater its amazing to me to see massive fish. All i could find so far was an episode from a show called monster quest where they try to catch giant fish and a show called River Monsters. If anyone could recommend some good documentaries id appreciate it
