we broke up when she moved interstate and have been talking almost everyday since.

she tells me shes now seeing a guy but its not serious.

should i hang around and cuck about or cut my losses and lose a best friend?

It depends on the nature of the relationship. I'm friends with two of my exes, but we broke up mutually, or so long ago that it doesn't matter.

If it's a situation where they got dumped and resent it, or something like that, it's a no-go.

That's why I was saying it depends on the nature of the relationship. If someone is trying to get back together or is heartbroken, it's not a relationship you should be in.

Bad idea you are just asking for trouble go find someone else to spend your time with.

It has only gone poorly in my experience. I don't think it always has to, but it's a good idea to err on the side of it will fuck everything up somehow hardcore.
