tl;dr: Job search with 0 direction, good or bad?

I've known for quite some time now that my current 9-5 is just...bad. Very little room for growth. Honestly, I was never trained and only took the job because my parents were on my ass. My sister, who also worked there, has left and loves her new job, admitting that the anxiety she once felt has dissipated.
I have been looking for a job longer than she has, with zero luck at all. Even for the same position, Administrative Assistant, I haven't gotten an interview.
I can't help but think I've wasted time and I must have made bad decisions to be that bad of an applicant. I've tried on Indeed, Glassdoor and Linkedin to no avail. I still don't know what to do career wise, as unfortunately all I can think of the paycheck. Especially since I've been underpaid this whole time.
Advice yall?

Cant help you much but you slightly answered your question yourself. In my contry its told that you should learn a lot in your workfield. So you might just do your masters or smth since youve got some money already. Just learn further in the direction so you are better qualified. Either with this job if its possible or tske s break. Like... If you have your masters it should go slightly up hill, right?
Otherwise nothing at all would change, because why shoult it if you dont change yourself.

I recently tried to find something new and I wasnt too concerned with what it was. I was really surprised how awful it was and how few actual jobs there were despite people saying my field is "booming" in my area. Maybe it is just a bad time to look for something new; I think places are still uncertain about where we are heading as a nation. At least I hope thays the deal; otherwise I dont know what to think...I wish you the best and im sure your luck will change but it may take a while. Good luck!
