How do I speak in a manner that's "smart" while not being "autistic" or pretentious sounding?
I'm only rocking that semi-sexy 130 IQ, but I'm tired of every other conversation I have hitting that, "I don't understand what you're saying" moment. It's even more frustrating when I realize that none of the words I said broke 2 syllables...
Help.

Speak concisely and in terms your audience can understand. Don't use a lot of huge words and let your intelligence be shown through your ideas, not your verbosity.

>hurrr durr what does verbosity mean? Is that like a lot of verbs? Kick is a verb, right?

Dumb it down my dude!
When speaking to the "normal" people i use a "normal" vocabulary. When speaking to someone that can comprehend dem big confusing words then I'll use those instead. I'm not extremely intelligent but i adapt to my surroundings fairly well.
I live in an area known for its strange dialect and slang so it's kinda funny for my friends - I often vary from one extreme to the other.

You only speak in terms that your audience can understand. Read your audience, then speak with them, not at them.
