I'm trying to ascend from basement-dweller status by attempting to get a job. I've never had one before, but I want something that keep me on my feet (Dishwasher, retail, whatever). I'm worried that I'll be instantly looked over for lack of experience.
I guess my question is what do I write down? Do I just make some shit up then fix my resume when the ball gets rolling?

Turns out Australians are banned from posting threads.. who knew.. I was going to post a nice encouraging thread..
Anyway.
For sure don't make stuff up for a dishwasher job. If you're going into retail, if you've ever done anything that requires interaction with people, consider putting that down, but don't lie. Exaggerate maybe, but not lie.
Dishwasher might be a good start, particularly if you're getting out of the NEET lifestyle and need to take the first step. Best thing you can do is spew resumes everywhere that you feel you can do/are comfortable with then at the interview let your personality win them over and make them forget your lack of experience.
These are my thoughts.

>Australians are banned from posting threads
lol wonder why
is it because of /tv/ CP threads?

It depends on the board actually, /pol is fine, but /mu is another no go for us.
I think it's related to how butt hurt each board can get.
/mu and /tv are easily triggered whereas /pol is used to retarded australians posting nonsense. It's who we are I suppose...
but the CP might have something to do with it

Thanks for the reply. I have done some volunteer work in the past, so this works perfectly.

Excellent! If it's volunteer work that's even better.
Go spam out resumes everywhere, don't be picky and go into the interview with confidence.
You can do it anon!
