So I really want to be a cook, I can go to a school near me for 31k a year but the issue is I have no experience cooking. I worked a resturant for my senior year for like 3 weeks for my final and I loved it. I was so happy and felt proud making stuff for people. It was just clam chowder but I really had an amazing time and just felt like i cant explain it. I think this is my path in life but I dont know if I should go for it at this school with no cooking experience at all.

Where would i even go to learn to cook? I can't imagine a work place taking me in as a cook and having them teach me from scratch.
craigslist
learn on the job
try getting hired as production chef at whole foods.
I'm a sushi chef. I did not go to school for it.
31 k well if you have the money and seek intellectual stimulus.
just in job market experience > education unfortuantely :(

I dont have the money i'd have to take out a loan, but im pretty sure it means somethng to have a degree and learn from the place and not just do jobs. I gotta look around and see if they have jobs that I can learn from but idk how well that might go since i know nothing. Did you know anything about sushi before becoming a sushi chef? Like at all?

nope I knew nothing only that I wanted to impress my asian crush in college. lol whole foods will hire you from scratch. Most restaurants will. Craigslist is legit just be careful. Degree if you wish to go into management but to learn from scratch any department store deli shouuuld take you in. Maybe just a food handlers permit for 25 dollars might be necessary if they require it but other than that. No degree necessary but I really recomment whole foods. It should be chill no drug testing and they were just bought by amazon so you might get a discount. I work at a whole foods.

Now what about Line Cooks. Would I need experience for that? I think i can handle something as simple as prepping veggies or whatever just to start out
I have no degree and only a G.E.D., and I've been able to get culinary jobs that are better than what any my peers have who do have degrees for that shit. I think it's a waste of money.
This industry REALLY appreciates people who want to learn everything, work very hard, be reliable, and get along with others well. It's easy to work up the chain without a degree.

Put in apps.
You look online or walk into any restaurant or food place you think you'd like to work at. Put it an app for "cook". It's pretty easy to get your foot in the door without experience. They might start you on prep work first but every food place likes cross-training people on kitchen duties.
