My ex doesn't work, she gets money from the government because she claims to have PTSD.
(i feel she was using me for money for a majority of our relationship)
She had our child two weeks ago and has refused me any access and doesn't want me to be a part of his life.
I am perfectly fine with giving up my custody and will let her take care of him but I don't want her coming after me for child support.
I would gladly be a part of my sons life, but she doesn't want me to be, and I dont trust her to not take me to court later down the road.

There is practically no way you could avoid paying child support if she applies for it. Almost no way. This is true of basically every Western legal system.

When it comes to visitation, a court will have to decide whether it's in the best interests of the child, and if they think you're a good guy who can be reliable, they'll give you visitation.
