OP if you've tried talking to them and it doesn't seem to be happening then you can either try to ask a family member to help (although this probably wont work) or you should just forget about it. If it is somewhere along the lines to an internship on wallstreet that would put you in line for an incredible career you have to make a choice. Usually those types of internships are paid but if it means that much to you consider moving out and dealing with the consequences.
