Sup /adv/ I just got new computer from my fiance because old one was dead and stuff.
Anyways everything works flawlessy except one thing:
Sound. The speaker icon has an red "x" on it. Right clicking on it and opening up "playback devices" or anything else shows just blank.
Yes, I tried to right click in those windows and show "hidden devices" and "visible devices" but it still says: No audio device installed.
Windows 7 btw

You have to install
>audio driver
But before that you have to find out which manufacturer made your sound card.
Download
https://www.hwinfo.com/
find out what is your sound card name then google
>name of device sound card driver
install it, restart and enjoy you tech illiterate.

NVDIA High Definition Audio
Installed it from official Nvidia site, restarted, nothing.
How are your speakers connected?
>>18149708
I never use speakers, didn't even try them since I got the pc (few hours ago)
I do have plugged in headphones tho
>>18149714
Was anything else listed for audio hardware? The nVidia audio is generally for sending audio over HDMI.
Have you installed all your updates yet?
>>18149740
Nothing else regarding audio hardware.
How do you mean "all" updates?
>>18149748
Windows update. Is everything installed? A lot of the time drivers will get pushed over windows update
>>18149758
Yup, did all that as soon as I turned on the PC. Started downloading other software and now fighting this speaker thing...
What model computer is it?
>>18149662
It might be muted. Check to see if you've checked the mute button and maybe play with the volume level
>>18149776
It's not muted. Clicking on the icon to open up volume bar starts troubleshooting.

>nvidia definition audio
that would work only if you had reproductors in your nonitor and connected it via hdmi / dp cable.
You need to find out what your motherboard is (cause i bet you have integrated sound card there) and do what i told you
>>18149668 here.
Why just dont tell us your pc model number or something? Or what hwinfo told you?
>>18149797
Motherboard is Hewlett-Packard 0A58h
>>18149808
>0A58h
Doesn't exists, good job at finding what your PC / mobo name is.

If everything else fails, get USB speakers/headphones.
