How does one with very little job experience get a better job than mcdonald's? I have a full time job on grill and I hate it. Is what I'm asking for even possible?
I guess you either get qualifications or you just keep applying for apprenticeships.
Volunteering can help your resume.
Unless you know someone to get your foot in the door, pretty fucking pathetic the way it works really I've applied to a fucking mediocre job that im defiantly qualified for almost certainly more so than the last 3 people to be hired for said positions buuuuut im not related to or friends with people doing the hiring so im fucked

Education. Or networking. Maybe just lie in your resume.

Lots of people here will tell you that simply going to uni will make you more qualified. Although qualifications are important the things that will get you a job better than shitkicker in retail in my experience are
>being friends with managers in the organisation you want to work for
>lying about relevant experience on your CV
Anyone who says they got by in "muh merit based selection" is a fucking liar and is not to be trusted.
