Exercise and stop masturbating/watching porn. Focus on this only until you genuinely feel better about yourself. This may take a couple of months to a year of hard work. But it sure helped me not being dependent on SSRI's.

SSRI's only make some comditions more bareable and easier to deal with if you're working on them. But problems take work, there's no miracle pill which fixes them for you.

You say you don't have many friends and are anxious to get higher up in life. Get a hobby, like taking a (creative) class or start a sport where you meet new people. From there you can get friends, who then introduce you to new people (who can either become new friends or acquaintances), introduce you to new social environments, but also new (business) networks. This will benefit your life experience, people skills and general confidence. It won't be easy if you're introverted, but it will definitely teach you numerous handy skills in life.

But maybe it's even better to see where this anxiety comes from by seeking professional help. Crippling anxiety isn't normal.

As for a med, I took citalopram for depression and anxiety/ocd. It helped in combination with therapy, but it was a bitch to drop. It also "flattened me out" a little. I'd rather not consider taking it in the future.

Thanks anon. I'm starting to see this as the only option. SSRIs and metaamphetamines have not helped me in the slightest. Come monday I'll hit up the gym near my job and ask them for help.

Yeah I think I'm going to save up and go on a course. I don't know what but I'll check what's open. Just getting out and meeting people will probably help a bit.

My current coworkers aren't that bad, just not around very much and I just sit on my ass doing data entry anyway.
