I got angry at a friend over something they did over a year ago that I just couldn't let go of, I said some hurtful things and basically told them to never contact me again. When I calmed down I realized I didn't want to just throw away 3 years of friendship and I apologized but they don't want to talk to me anymore, how do I resist the urge to keep trying to talk to them,I'd really like to fix things but don't want to pester them and make things worse, it's my birthday in 2 days and it won't be the same without them in it.
