My friend and I applied for our dream job. I got it, he didn't. He admitted he's jealous but also congratulatory about it. He's a great guy and its been business as usual.
However, its been months now and he's feeling pretty unfulfilled by his current job. How do I make him feel better? I also feel awkward talking about work in general and how much I'm liking it.

Why don't you try getting him a job at your company?
Maybe ask if there's a position available for him, etc.

I've been sending him some job openings recently but they're in unrelated areas. I can't help him too much besides advice since I'm relatively low level in the organization and can't pull string and what not.
He's considering them at the moment and is likely to apply to them. Internal transfers are of course a lot easier than being an external applicant like he was previously. Of course I'll feel bad if he's unsuccessful but hopefully that won't happen.
I just get this bad feeling in my stomach when we hang out after work and he's overall just not happy and looking for greener pastures. It's kind of selfish but if he feels better, I feel better
