I have Crohn's, and the amount of surgery I've needed has meant I had to delay the last year of my mechanical MEng degree. In the end I've been given a ileostomy - I shit uncontrollably into a bag on my stomach.
Next academic year doesn't start until October. Until then I'm living with my parents in the suburbs. I'm a friendless outcast autist so I have no reason to go outside beyond occasional shopping.
I'm just kicking my feet here shitposting all day until october comes around, and I'm aware that it's leaving me a mess mentally as well as physically. Can /adv/ help me find ways to use this time productively?
Man I got Ulcerus Colitis (similar to Crohns) and I feel you. Could you perhaps prepare for the courses? Get the material early and start reading?
LOOK UP HELMINTH THERAPY AND GET ON IT. Jesus.
The amount of people with autoimmune diseases that don't know about this treatment is mortifying. The therapy is most successful with the gut diseases too (Chron's and UC).

Who the fuck gives a shit? A billion people in Africa are infected with them and they do all right even without multivitamins and a bunch of other conveniences.
also you might want to try a fecal matter transfer- they get someone who is healthy and take their healthy poop and put it into your colon and the good bacteria reintroduces itself to your digestive system, there are also supposedly poop pills that you swallow frozen but thats kinda gross
