Not in my case.

The advice givers I know seems to have learned a lot from failure and ruminating on problems. There might even be an inverse relationship.

some people are really good at dishing out solid advice, but can never follow their own advice either.

No it's a proxy for their own failing or altogether lacking of romantic relationships in their life. It's about as good advice as that of some armchair general is to the US army
