Why do people buy loads of shaving equipment when an electric shaver is cheaper? Should I quit using razors? They said its phillips norelco for $30 at walmart. Shaving for a month is like $10 if you want a good shave.
>>
For what it is worth.

I have now twice gotten an electric razor from walmart for roughly 20 bucks.

Each one I is essentially useless within 4-5 months, even when i take care of it.

So yeah, relatively cheaper, but not full proof.
>>
Because they dont always get a close enough or clean shave. After a couple months or even a few weeks you will see a dip in quality.

Some of them need replacement parts like special blades for that specific electric razor type which ends up being more expensive than the regular replacement blades for manual razors. Lets not even talk about battery replacements. Youll buy more batteries than a horny bitch with a vibrator. Even the wall charger electric razors dont have batteries that can take charge for over a year. They build those things so you can get them replaced in a year. Trust me

If you really and absolutely want to save as much money as possible then teach yourself how to use a straight razor, then save a good 200 bucks for a full kit and you'll be set for life.
>>
thanks guys

Electric razors don't give as close of a shave. and they will burn out quickly, especially the cheap ones. If you are using cartridges then you are massively getting ripped off.

Get a double edge safety or strait razor. The initial cost is high but you will start saving in about 7 months.

I spent $110 on my razor and replacement blades cost me around $1.50 a month. If you get a strait razor and take care of it then it will last forever.

I've been using the Gillette proglide for over a year now with no problems. all the gel thing is gone and i haven't swapped out the blades so far. only cut myself once and that's because of my own mistake. i don't have use shaving cream. i think the reason i can do this is because my facial hair is fairly thin so there's no issues with the blade having to cut coarse hair.
>>
Why do men look down on laser hair removal if they're just going to shave anyway?

I've been using my Braun electric razor for roughly 7 years now. Replaced blades once. Don't get some cheap ass Walmart razor and go for quality instead. Mine was over 100€ and my dad's is still miles above mine. If you want good quality you have to pay for it.

>if you want good quality then you have ti pay for it

That defeats the purpose of OP's question. They want to SAVE money
>>
>>18017119
Doing a big investment once or bleeding money every month. I know what I prefer. If you get good quality it will last you for years.
>>
I use dollar shave club every 2 months.

>tfw OP think human spending behavior is rational

>>18016735
I've never met anyone who buys "loads" of shaving equipment.
>>
Gillette two-blade disposable razor and gel creme. What more do you need?

We might want to grow a beard one day. Besides, I don't think most men look their best with a clean shave but rather with a very small stubble.
>>
I just trim my beard with an electric, and shave below the belt with it too.

I haven't bought cream and a razor since I was 16 and thought shaving would be a lot of fun.

Electric shave isn't close enough .. not for me anyways
