I personally think pity is insulting, but that's my opinion. Self-esteem issues are really something people have to learn to get over themselves. Everyone can come up with a million things wrong, but don't have the guts to admit what they do like about themselves.

I've been told i'm overconfident in the past by my mates and female friends alike and i think they're just being prude. I got plenty of things i don't like about myself but that's no reason for me to pretend i'm some sort of lesser human being. Might sound cheesy, but the best advice i can give to people with self-esteem issues is love yourself, take care of yourself and most importantly show yourself.
