So I got a career tier job, 45k salary.
I wanna invest maybe 15k a year, what's the best way to get the most return?
I know nothing about investing.
put it in an index fund. Anything else is a waste of time.
Risk vs return. The higher you set your target return, the more risky it will be.
S&P index fund at Vanguard for 10 to 15 years and you'll never need to touch it again until retirement
Put it on green my friend.
use 401k up to match, then max out a ROTH IRA
Currently ROTH is better than traditional for you, given your absolutely plebian income
good luck

order some basic books about investing, or get them free at the library
published in past 10 years or so is fine
