If your posture is crap, yes, you can "grow" by fixing it. Stop slouching and start looking ~10 sidewalk blocks ahead when you go on walks. And go on walks regularly. Make sure when you're looking at a screen it's eye level, that you aren't looking down or up. And don't sleep on your stomach, sleep on your back instead.

Height is a zero-sum game. For every cm you gain, it's just a loss for someone else.

So there is no rational reason why people should help you on this. Try improving yourself in a real way.
