I can see you didnt had a dad or any uncles or brothers and you dont know how this things work.

You dont ask for any confirmations from another guy.

If he is like a father to you and you want him to know - when you 2 are chilling and having philosophical talks just tell him that. Dont expect anything in return though.

If he thinks of you as his son or protegee after some time of thinking this over he will tell you.

Male bonding isnt like in the movies where one dude tells this other dude that he is like a brother to him.

he might not see you as a son but it doesn't mean he doesn't care.

but if hes nice and cares about you thats all that matters. how can you tell if he cares? well thats a basic human skill not sure how you can miss it.
