Problem: can't gain weight
Background: 20, been like this for most of my life, my father is a bit bulkier than i am, i also started smoking when i was 14 but I haven't since October.
Last year, before leaving for college (dorm) i weighed 48-49
Average current weight: 55-57 kgs
I can see from a mile away that the first suggestion will be lifting bruh, but i tried that as well, i get low gains.
Is there something else I can do to gain some weight?
>Pic unrelated
I'm sorry, i left out a key aspect: now that i've stopped smoking, i am eating a little more than i used to, but that's not very much overall. It's not because i hold myself from eating or something like that, it's just that i don't feel hungry very often
With your current weight if you want to gain weight you should eat 2300kcal x day. 1380 kcal of carbs (340gr choose complex carbs) 460kcal of proteins (115gr of proteins) and 460kcal of fats (50gr of fats).

I was in the same boat a year and a half ago, weighed 55kg at 188cm.
What worked for me is that I ate 3000kcal/day or more. It's hard as fuck in the beginning but you get used to it.
You can do some light lifting if you want, but at 55kg any weight gain is acceptable imo. I'm now at 80kg.
count your calories, and make sure you're getting a surplus.
I don't know those ching chong measurements, but you're probably going to want to be looking at 2500 calories at least.
Any idea of how i can get an accurate measurement? I'm not from the states, and most of the stuff i eat is probably very different from your average meals
