Friend of mine and I didn't talk for a few days, he got pissed about it, I reminded him that he ignored me for months at a time. Rest of my friends took his side. Fighting escalated, more arguing about shit, then we stopped talking all together. In the first month, I was the saddest I've probably ever been my whole life, I had no friends, nobody to talk to after work and shit, and it really fucked with me.

loving someone means loving their flaws, and that includes friends not just romantic partners.

my best friend has flaws. namely, hes very reactive. the man would never do a selfish thing if he gave it a moment of thought, but he is very in the moment and sometimes can't see beyond what he wants to eat for lunch.

and i am no better. I have many many flaws that he puts up with. but thats what love is. two people loving eve nthe bad parts of each other.

all this being said, if ALL your friends left you over this, there's something seriously wrong with you or you're not telling us the whole story.

They all left during the fighting, most of which I don't remember because I was super pissed at the time and most of the time it was very late at night. They were pissed and calling me over dramatic and shit like that. Like they were surprised I was mad and sad about losing my friends lmao.
