So, due to sudden life changes, I'm moving to Las Vegas. I have about 1k from my last paycheck from my job. Is it possible to find a reasonably priced studio apartment under $500/mo. over there?
Long story short: I lost an opportunity for a lifelong caree, have a severely strained relationship with my GF I've been with for 10 years that I'm about to end and I hate my job. I need a fresh start, finding a job is not the hard part, just a cheap and affordable living quarter.

$500 month in vegas will get you a parking spot for a car
do internet search look at those apartment websites
see craigslist for room rentals

Why Vegas?

you can probably find a room share situation.

Even if it's a shoddy, unfurnished, 2-star motel-like studio, I just need something to get by while I save up at some random minimum wage job.

I live in CA and for the 10 years, I've been trying endlessly to get a better job. Suffice to say, nothing's come up and I feel I'll have a better chance in Vegas. Plus, it's way, way closer than the other option I've been debating on, which is Portland, OR (270 miles to Las Vegas vs. 950 miles to Portland from where I live)

I live in vegas, I knew a guy who lived in an apartment for about that price, but it was in a shitty part of town and he had cockroaches.
So yes, if you don't care about quality.
