Unless you have like an anuerism or stroke. Intense head pain is nothing to ignore. Unless your exaggerating about the "hit with a bat sensation."

it could be cluster headaches, they come and go
do you feel the pain in all your head or half of it? your eyes got red or cried?

take some pain killers, got to a doctor if they continue tomorrow
