I have a cat and I want to get a ferret, a baby if possible. Will she try to attack it? it does look like a mouse. and my cat destroys mice. she tortures them. anyway should I just separate them until he becomes an adult or don't risk it?

not my cat btw
Is your cat an adult? If it's young enough you can train it to know that small animals aren't food.

she's around 6 or 7 I would say, not sure. she was a stray that I took in 3 years ago.
I have 3 ferrets and 2 cats. The cats have been introduced to the ferrets, with supervision, but I would never leave them alone together. Cats will kill ferrets without hesitation. Ferrets are fearless and will attempt to play with the cats, but the cats have too strong a prey drive. You MIGHT be able to get a cat and ferret to get along if you get them both at a young age and raise them together, but if your cat has ever killed a small mammal, I'd say its a no-go. Thats not to say you can't get a ferret anyway, very few ferrets are free-roaming. Just get a cage and at least 2 ferrets ( since they're social animals, they need a buddy ), keep them seperated from the cats and you'll be fine.

literally wtf is your problem ?
if you want to feed your cat small animals then buy mice
the ferret & your cat will totally fight each other to death
ferrets are dangerous & need to be kept in strong metal cages
op fu get a gdamn clue about pets
