I am consistently tired. I can sleep for 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 hours, and I only feel like I didn't get enough sleep. Usually I sleep for 11-12 hours a day, and most times I'll even squeeze in a nap.
I'm 22, I don't exercise, but I used to and the problems remained. Normal weight range.
Please someone save me. I've had this problem my whole life and I don't want to atrophy in my bed until death.
set an alarm fucktard

YOu need to look at your diet OP.

The problem isn't getting out of bed. The problem is staying awake. It doesn't matter how much I sleep, I always need more, to the extent I'm sleeping 12+ hours a day.

go to the doctor
ironically sleeping a lot more than you should will drain you of energy

Sounds like an underlying medical issue. See a doctor.

So you never wake up an odd hours of the night?
Do you snore, OP?
Also, you should see a doctor, particularly a sleep specialist.
Read into idiopathic hypersomnia. It's what I have and likely you too
I need 9-11 hours of sleep a night to function optimally. 8 hours has just been set as the "standard" dogma of our time, and I'm sure most people do well on 8. However it's not for everyone.
The modern world doesn't give a shit about the people who are in the most unfortunate 10% of anything. Your genes are considered inferior (and mine), all because you're can't work as well as a machine towards the human idea of "progress", whose final destination is actually just destroying the planet and humans with it.

Yeah idiopathic hypersomnia is a weird disorder I'm exactly the same as you it's a neurological disorder that isn't studied very well.
Essentially you need to practice proper sleep hygiene. Your room should be empty and used only for sleeping. No browsing 4chan in your room, no looking at porn in your room. Start a sleep jour all, go to sleep at the same time every night and set a sleep clock: everynight set your clock to 12am no matter what time it is, and when you wake up after a sleep cycle wake up ie: if you have a sleep cycle of 4 hours wake up when your clock says you've been sleeping for 8 hours. If you find you have a different sleep cycle wake up accordingly .
Start working out, start doing things. If you're sitting at home all day you need to stop doing that .
I've had a similar problem recently, then over this break I've been back to sleeping in my old bed and feel like I'm getting enough sleep. Might have something to do with sleep quality (lackthereof) due to your mattress
> I can sleep for 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 hours, and I only feel like I didn't get enough sleep.
I think that might be your problem. I read somewhere that a consistent sleep schedule is far more important than a good one.

go to a doctor get a physical check thryroid TSH blood test can cause severe lack of energy
then see a shrink - depression can also cause lack of energy

Proper diet and exercise. I'm serious here. I used to have that problem until I started to eat more healthy and being more active. You are in your 20's and your body need balanced nourishment to go through the day and more activity to use up your energy. Don't take naps, it will fuck up your sleeping cycle.
