GUIDELINES:
Before you post a question, check the FAQ to see if it's already been answered.
Keep questions short for more answers.
If you're not going to like honest answers, don't ask your question.
And please no derailing arguments.

FAQ:
>Do girls/guys like <insert specific look>?
>What do girls/guys think about <an insecurity including, but not limited to: looks, physical traits, personality traits, virginity or otherwise lack of dating experience>
There is no one answer. Preferences differ, but complexes are always a turn-off.

>I'm shy and afraid of people/rejection. What do I do?
Get over it by practising and exposing yourself to it, little by little, step by step. There is no single magical moment that will instantly change you forever.

>I like someone. What do I do?
>How can I tell if someone likes me?
Ask them out.

>Where do I meet girls/guys?
Anywhere outside. Or online.

>Someone did something insignificant. What does it mean?
Nothing significant. You're overthinking it.

>XYZ happened. Interpret this for me please
We're not in their head, we don't know.

>This person did something that hurt my feelings. Why do guys/girls do this?
Because shit people are shit people. It's not a gendered thing.

>Someone has made it super clear they're no longer interested in me. Do I still have a chance?
No.

>Where do I go on a first (or subsequent) date?
Pick one or more of the following: coffee, lunch, dinner, drinks, ice cream, movies, zoo, aquarium, museum, art gallery, <activity in your city>.

>Brandon, that guy who keeps asking about cuddling in platonic friendships and fart guy
Fuck off
>>
What's the best way to get a mistress? What do mistresses want out of life?
>>
I had plans for NYE with a friend I haven't seen for awhile. I'm trying to figure out what time we will go into the city and he said he will be busy until only 2 hours before midnight. WTF. I put off other plans for this. Should I be annoyed with him for only wanting to do something 2 hours before midnight?

Sex without the commitment. But what's wrong with your wife?
>>
>>17908194
I love her immensely as a person and domestic partner and friend, but she's always been cold and basically asexual.
>>
>>17908197
Don't you think she'll be hurt?
>>
>>17908207
It's kinda something I can't really live with any more, and to avoid hurting her I would want to do it completely covertly. She has mentioned consenting to similar setups before, just as long as it doesn't insult her by being in her face.

>don't really have that much relevant work experience.
>I realize that chemE sorta sucks and I should have done something different. I didn't learn enough to be an actual chemical engineer and most employers know that.

why would you tell a guy whom you
>dated for 6 months
>had sex with during those 6 months
>left to be back with your ex
>text him on and off throughout a year how much you miss xy and z with him
>tell him that the only chance is a new relationship

>text him that the only chance with him is a fresh start

all of that?

this is seriously beyond me at this point

Yes, they do? That's the point of higher education?
Also, it's not a great position for a girl to be in, or indeed anyone, being financially reliant. It means you have all the power.

Also it sounds like you need a hobby.
>>
Men; why is virginity such a big deal? I get that a girl (or a guy, for that matter) who sleeps around indiscriminately is not one to put your emotional investments into, but why is even one or two prior relationships an issue?
>>
>>17908394
At first they only make enough to live but not much else.
I want to be able to take them out to dinner and make their life more comfortable. I don't think that is exploitative.
I am not that materialistic but I want financial security.
>>
>>17908418

>>

It;s far less than men though, and not generally about their partner's virginity; mainly their own (excluding religious people)
>>

>>

I want to date women pursuing an advanced degree. When you are in graduate school you aren't making any money. Once they get out they will end up making a lot.

>>
>>17908160
How do I be more sexually appealing to men? I exercise and eat well to keep my body in shape but how do I really get them worked up?
>>
>>17908435
I could go into detail, but I guess the easiest way to put it is I just do. I want it, and I know I can get it, and I hold myself to the same standard so it's all good. I assume it's the same for a lot of guys who feel that way too.
>>
>>17908403
Not that many guys in real life care, it seems that all the idiots on the internet and of course here feel it's important though.
>>
>>17908440
I want to date semi-antisocial workaholics who are working hard to achieve something impressive.
It isn't about their education level so much as how they approach life and what they want to get out of it.
I just don't want to date someone who is only working 40 hours a week.
>>
>>17908445
So, what are your opinions of people who don't value it so highly for the point of it.

For example, I lost mine at 16 to someone I was (and am) very much in love with. We're still together 6 years later.
>>
>>17908467
I think people and society at large would be better off aiming for a healthy, stable relationship with one life partner, though I understand that's not possible for everyone and not everyone even wants that.

That being said, I think it's great that you're in a happy relationship like that! It makes me happy to hear and I honestly hope you two spend your lives together.
>>
Am I fucking friendzoned or is this chick just confused and being childish?

>Girl ends things with me
>No contact for 6 weeks
>hit her up, she sounds happy to hear from me
>ask to hang out, she agrees, then dissapears when I suggest a day (doesnt say yes or no just doesnt answer)
>starts being petty posting snaps of a street sign showing shes a block from me captioned "tad bit far from home :'("
>Likes all of my instagram posts (yet doesnt like any other posts from any other people)
>>
Not super on- topic but i don't like making a whole thread for a simple question. I found a girl my age (22) on Match, and added her on FB, sent a message saying I saw her profile. Unfortunately, one little detail I didn't see was that she has a kid, and that's a deal breaker for me. It's 4:24 am as I type this so I doubt she's seen the message. Can I just delete the message and friend request and she won't see it?
>>
>>17908519
She will probably see both notifications on her phone

but assuming she doesnt, she will still get the message.
>>
>>17908517
Ask bluntly at this point.
>>
>>17908523
Ask how? I feel like I already look pathetic after having her not reply to me. I kind of went back to the whole no contact thing.
>>
>>17908517
if you have to ask, the answer is yes.
>>
>>17908527
I agree which is why I went back to not speaking with her...then she starts acting like she's trying to get my attention.
>>
>>17908525
Tell her that you are confused where you two stand but you like her. Constant flirting via social media will not get you anything, especially if you're straddling the line between friend and date potential. She's probably as confused as you are.
>>
Anyone

Does deleting people after a break up make you look like you're petty and immature or just simply like you're trying to move on?
>>
>>17908531
I did make an effort by speaking to her after 6 weeks and wanting to hang out so im sure she knows. "Ball is in her court" type of thing.

But now shes the one doing the social media flirting. why doesnt she just fucking text me? She was the one that left me hanging
>>
>>17908535
No, asking to "hang out" is still leaving room for interpretation. Either say bluntly "i like you" or get her out of your life. This half assed shit is playing too safe. If you want a girl you have to put yourself on the line a bit.
>>
>>17908534
Why give a shit. You're trying to move on who cares if they think you're childish. They probably hate you anyway.

>>
>>17908369

Women overwhelmingly go for soft sciences. So they may have a degree, but their pay is usually garbage. Knowing a lot about clothing and dye methods in 500 AD requires a lot of education, but it sure doesn't mean you're going to have good pay.

Would it be weird to ask a femanon what they think of the description I used for a dating website? I promise it's not maximum sperg. Men who've used dating sites can chime in too.

>I'm an extroverted guy looking for somebody fun to be with. Not necessarily extroverted too, but someone who can tolerate my craziness. I have a pretty twisted sense of humor.
I love having long conversations that shoot off into tangents. Also be prepared to have more engaged, serious talk from time to time. If you have lots of interesting things to say, we will get along great!
I have an equally eccentric bunch of friends that are great to hang with too.
I like going out to have fun and seek adventure, but I value relaxation time too. Travel might be a possibility in the future. I've been to a fair few places inside the US but would like to travel abroad some day.
Currently I'm working at a grocery distribution warehouse, which is an exciting challenge in it's own right, but I am still looking for my true calling in terms of a career.
I enjoy video games, fiction of all kinds, music of a fairly wide variety, computers, and tabletop games as hobbies. I'd love it if you would join me in them, though you don't have to. I know plenty of ways to have fun.
Things I value in people include honesty, self-sufficiency, free thinking. I want to be with a level-headed person that can take care of themselves if need be. My family life is fairly stable, with a huge extended family on one side.
I'm interested in some casual dating, or taking it more serious and make it long term if we feel anything together.
>>
>>17908592
I don't know if it's the bios themselves, or just the fact that I don't use online dating, but these always make me cringe a little and feel secondhand embarrassment. It's not just yours, I feel this way every time I read one of these on here.

That said, I think it's pretty clear the sort of person you are and the sort of person you're looking for, so I guess it does the job it's supposed to? I'm sure plenty of girls on dating sites would read that and think you're an okay sounding dude
>>
>>17908592
If you're looking for something more serious than not, than this is perfect.

If you just want to fuck, then it may be a bit too verbose.
>>
>>17908603
Nah I'd like to find someone to date eventually. I'm not into hookups.
>>
Grills, suppose an ugly guy tells you that he likes you but not to expect something to happen, but to get a weight out of his back.

Would you hate him? Would he ruin the rest of your day with that shit? Would it be creepy?

I really want to tell a girl that I think she's cute and shit but I'm ugly as hell and got severe insecurity and self esteem issues. All I can think about is how shitty would it be for her to be liked by some fat, ugly son of a bitch.
>>
>>17908614
If you tell her you like her and think she's cute she's going to assume you're expecting her to return those feelings, so she will probably say thank you but I'm sorry I don't feel the same.

I can give you two different types of advice: the kind to make you feel better, or the kind that will help your situation. Which do you want?
>>
>>17908640
Just fuck my shit up
>>
>>17908636
The first is get a job. This is harsh but people don't want to date someone who has no self sufficiency. If you're legitimately disabled disregard this paragraph. Disabled people can find love, but it's not something I'm going into. McBurger is a lot more respectable than gubment bucks or mom & dad's check. I know "get a job" isn't always easy, especially in a social anxiety situation, but you need to make it your number one life priority.

The second is get some hobbies. Are you a nerd? That's fine. /tg/ hobbies are actually really good ways to meet people. M:Tg, D&D especially. Just find a game store, take a shower and crawl out of the cave and go do something. Or ANY other hobby that involves leaving the house. No, don't use a hobby as a way to find a girl, use them to force yourself into social situations.
>>
>>17908654
The next thing I have to say to any neet is ask yourself WHY you're a neet, and how you can get out of it. Every person is different, but I've seen a lot of people that see a challenging situation in life and instead of meeting the challenge, they simply crumble and give up. Well stop giving up. You haven't failed until you're dead. Keep attempting and failing at things. Don't put any emotional investment in it. The attempt alone should be counted as a success.
>>
>>17908562

>as a fat/poorfag that's had reasonable success with women

How did you achieve this?
>>
>>17908674
Not the anon you're asking but I assume personality. Most women aren't as vain as media / 4chan make them out to be. Most women would rather date a charasmatic but fat dude than a well toned bore. Money also isn't as huge a deal as people think as long as you can support yourself and aren't in a massive spiral of debt.
>>
>>17908671
Tldr (and this applies to ANYONE who's desperate for love) get your life in order before worrying about romance. That will come eventually. If you just need to empty your balls/ stuff your holes try Tinder or an escort.
>>
Guys,

When I'm on a date how do I bring up my lack of friends? For example, the guy i'm with talks about activities with his friends then asks me what I like to do with my friends.
>>
Girls:

There's this girl I talk to, all nice and funny and sometimes we call eachother things akin to pet names and she even teases me at times and is always laughing at my jokes.
Thing is, I have to be the always start conversations (though sometimes I think I finished and she restarts hours later or the next day) + she says she's not easily invitable to do things (like coffee or whatever).
What do you think?
>>
Guys:

So basically, my self-esteem is shit, but I'm very good at hiding it. Objectively there's no logical reason for this because I'm a high achiever, I act very confident in public and people flock to me naturally, but logic doesn't really work here. Anyway, I guy I like confessed to me and since I couldn't believe that he meant it seriously (see: shit self-esteem), I spilled spaghetti. Badly.
>"Femanon, I like you."
>"Oh, you're funny."
>"No, you're beautiful and smart, I really like you."
>"Of course you don't."
>"I think we'd make a good coup-"
>"NO. YOU. DON'T."

So this ended on a pretty sour note. If something like this happened to you, would you be mad if the girl in question contacted you and tried to explain? Keep in mind that this whole "I was nervous" could sound very dishonest due to the way she normally acts. (On that note, how to make it sound honest when I'm too good at faking my confidence?)
>>
>>17908722
Be honest with him and stop pretending near him. He doesn't know the real you, only the cunt you and he's fairly convinced that's who you are. It's gonna take time to change his perception of you, but you've got your foot in the door.

Now, contact him to out for coffee or whatever and do it in person (the talking and showing who you truly are) instead of messages. Trust me on this, thank me later.
>>
>>17908730
Yeah, I guess I knew all of this already, but I needed to hear it from someone else, too. Thanks.
>>
>>17908722

You've literally just listed several positive things about yourself - this means you're at least self aware of your plus points and therefore, don't have that low self-esteem. You might try and make yourself think you do, as a coping mechanism, but you're blatantly aware that you're at least doing well in a social sense.

I do think you should contact and explain, as it probably came across as extremely arrogant, even though you were probably just protecting yourself.
>>
>>17908735
That's not really how it works. I'm aware of my good points when I analyze them, but I can only really reach this state of emotional detachment when I'm alone and actively thinking about it. In the meantime, I only see bad things about myself. I'm self aware about this, as you've said, but it doesn't really change anything.
Thinking of it now, I'd probably benefit from a therapy, too bad I'm from a shithole where this would turn me into a social pariah.

Girls/Guys

Broke up with girl about 6 months ago because I really needed to get my life in order. The time in between of just focusing on myself and hitting goals has done great for my mental and physical well being.

Sure, I could've done it with her, I just took it all on as my problem only, as she's already successful. I was literally going nowhere with a warehouse job and I knew I couldn't do that any longer

We texted over Christmas, I could tell she misses me. We're both pretty hard headed, so I know she won't reach out first.

How do I go about asking her if she'd be up for giving the relationship another go? Just come right out and say it?
>>
>>17908854
>Just come right out and say it?
Yes.
>>
So I messaged a girl I found interesting on an online dating site. Her reply was along the lines of "Hey, I'm not sure you're the kind of guy I'd find interesting. Do you have more pics? (pics are important for girls and they tell a lot about a person)". I have 3 more or less full body photos on my profile showing me in different situations, two of which also clearly show my face.

Is there any other reason for this kind of reply than she doesn't think I'm "hot" enough for her (aka she's pretty shallow)?

>Lose my cool
>Gotta make a move before the mood is kill
>Gotta do it anon
>Fuck can't do it
>She feels that I'm too afraid to make a move

TL;DR: I caught my son fucking his boyfriend. I'm afraid he's gay, how do I find out?
>>
>>17908854
Yeah just say it. If she doesn't want to then dont try to convince her. And if she comes back in the future ignore all contact. I mean no reply or answer. None. Don't reply. She is out of your life at that point. Don't reply.

Otherwise carry on and don't risk being turned down.
>>
>>17908722
I've never flat out told a girl that confession.m cause it's not my style. But I've been in similar situations where the girl I know acts like that with my short conversing. I stop talking to them or treat them like any other regular person with the most I give is just a greet and goodbye.

The chicks end up later on focused on me and I catch them eyeing me yet complaining about me within earshot. Their fault. They want to feel important and inclusive. Too late.

What should I do when a girl suddenly texts me after approx. one month? We've texted few times before, mainly from my incentive. Over the time I relized I don't want to have anything with her anymore so I just stopped texting her - this has gone for month, I finally thought that I got rid of her .... but then suddenly yesterday 1AM I receive message: "Hey anon I think you forgot to text me "

What should I do?

>>17908920
>Over the time I relized I don't want to have anything with her anymore so I just stopped texting her

well, unless the reason you made that decision was "I don't want to have anything with her because she is a bitch that never starts a conversation", then why are you even asking? You already decided that you don't want her...

Girls and guys

Is it weird/bad that will absolutely not do anything sexual with someone unless they are someone I care about? I was at a bar with friends last night, and this pretty good looking girl was being really very flirty with me. she was even touching the inside of my legs with her hands. I told her to stop and leave me alone. My friends I was with got mad at me because they said I threw away a 8/10 for nothing. I told them I don't know this bitch so I don't want for fuck her. And they've been giving me shit since.

Was I wrong?

How hard is online dating if Im a male that is 5'6?
I have an attractive face and fit body. I've never tried online because I heard girls were really picky about height. I always felt more comfortable in person since you can clearly see my height and a lot of the time I wear flat shoes.

so there's this girl that i'm dating from uni, and when she talks about hanging out with other guy friends i impulsively feel pangs of jealousy and possessiveness.

>>
>>17908986
No?
>>
>>17909010

yes it will, on both sides

You are building a relation on the basis of hiding your jealousy. If she appreciates that you are "cool" and have no problem with her hanging out, then there is a potential huge problem in development.

Will you show it later? That is basically lying

Will you keep hiding it forever? That is long-term torture....
>>
>>17909019
very likely if you are least average-looking or better and/or sound "available" he has some interest on you and is trying to build up some rapport

>this girl who I'm really close to won't go out with me because she's 4.5 years my superior and just want's a man who's more impressive than she is rather than date "down" so to speak
That's not a 'girl who is only impressed by older men' situation.

I don't blame her for not wanting to date a guy who's almost 5 years younger than her anyway, it's a significant age gap when you're in your 20s.

>>17909429

>>17909443
K
>>
>>17909435
>it's a significant age gap when you're in your 20s
it was 5 years ago but it's really not now

when I'm 24 she'll still only be 28 for another 6 months. I don't really see that as significant

but I was with her and another of our friends, who's the same age as her, and she made a comment about how around age 32 is "perfect"

just quite frustrating that I have to wait close to a decade before women who aren't stupid early-20 somethings to be attracted to me

DESU like I said she's super picky anyhow. When her and I were talking after I finally told her I want to date her I asked her if she was attracted to any men that she had known in the last 5 years and she flat out said no. Like even for a single date. I worded it like that because I know she's expressed interest in men she's seen from afar or doesn't actually know them personally at all.

Is she as bizarre of a person as I think she is? I know I'm extremely picky but I meet about 1-3 women a year that I'd like to go out with, and I know that I'm too picky.
>>
>>17909450
>when I'm 24 she'll still only be 28 for another 6 months. I don't really see that as significant
She's at an age where people are starting to marry and settle down and have kids. You're at an age where people are still clubbing and are only beginning to meet people who they're going to date seriously. That is a significant gap.

>she made a comment about how around age 32 is "perfect"
So she knows what she wants. She's allowed to make choices as to the sort of guy she wants to date

>just quite frustrating that I have to wait close to a decade before women who aren't stupid early-20 somethings to be attracted to me
Guess what? People generally want to date someone around a similar age, usually with the guy older. That's just reality, get over it and stop complaining. This girl doesn't want to date you, and she doesn't owe you anything.
>>
When she asked if i want to seat with her what does it mean?
>>
>>17909477

Haha, funny. Now ask it again, but give actual information.
>>
>>17909468
>She's at an age where people are starting to marry and settle down and have kids. You're at an age where people are still clubbing and are only beginning to meet people who they're going to date seriously. That is a significant gap.
lel, a lot of projecting there. She knows I want a serious relationship and don't go clubbing or act in any significant way differently than her and the rest of our peers, and I say "our" because we've been a part of the same circle of friends for quite a while now.

>So she knows what she wants
then how does that line up with the fact that she's attracted to literally nobody?

>That's just reality, get over it and stop complaining
you try being a man in his mid twenties who's expected to date nothing but retarded college chicks. It's extremely frustrating.

>This girl doesn't want to date you, and she doesn't owe you anything.
I do know that, which is why I'm trying to move on as fast as possible. I'm just trying to get inside of her head, not judge her.
>>
>>17909484
>I'm just trying to get inside of her head, not judge her.
Then ask her, not us. We're not in her head.

It's not like her motivations matter anyway. The result is the same for you either way
>>
>>17909489
>It's not like her motivations matter anyway
they do, because I need to know what about myself to improve so the next woman I'm attracted to will also be attracted to me

you seem to really have no sympathy for men at all, which is quite off-putting. I don't think you understand what it's like to have to completely game attraction with money, job, car, fashion, etc. These are all things I have to artificially dress myself up with in order to get women to notice me at all, even though I'm a fairly attractive person physically.

you probably won't believe me or discredit a few things I say, but it's not exactly easy being a person in my situation. It's frustrating, it's not easy, and you as a woman need to understand that if you want to be a good person and a better woman to your bf/spouse.
>>
>>17909498
>you have no idea how hard it is to be a man!
Lol okay. It's not a competition sweetie.
>>
>>17909501
who said it was a competition?

I never said it was harder than being a woman. I just said you have no sympathy for people in my situation, which is pretty bitchy if you ask anyone.

being a man that women don't notice when they enter the room in a hard thing to conquer, and statistically I'm a part of 80% of all men. Do you seriously not have sympathy for that population at all?

Guys, i'm a fat woman. What is the best dating app or website to find a guy. Or should I be looking other places. I'm losing weight but in the mean time I want to start dating.
>>
>>17909344

I'm a guy, but have seen all sorts of moms through their pregnancies in family and friends.

So, outside of the obvious things, it'll be pretty much up to how she feels. My cousing became a psycho mom, reas through lots of books, changed diet, etc; while another friend only quit smoking and kept drinking 0 alcoohol beer whithout giving much extra tought to it.

All of them had healthy kids born in the right timing, so I guess any changes are more to personal flavor and confort then really effective. A few of the "obvious" things I mentioned are not eating raw meats and fish (sushi is rulled out), avoiding stress, avoiding heavy exercises and so on. Other than that, pregnancy is not sickness, so she can do mostly whatever she feels. There are even a few moms that work out in the gym until the last day of carriage (adjusting exercises ofc).

She's quite younger than me, enough to be noticeable. She's pizza, while I'm 18. Should I stop? Her mom is completely fine with it, but her dad is out of the picture. Good idea or bad?

Kind of a quick both-gender question regarding social skills...

How do I ask meaningful questions in a conversation? How do I also stop reverting to questions in a conversation as well? I know it seems stupid, but I can't shake from going down the rabbit hole of asking question after question.
For example
>Hey how's it going
>Great, just got back from yoga
>Nice, how long have you been doing yoga?
>Oh, for about 4 years now, it's been really good for me.
>Good how? Obviously staying in shape, but does it improve motivation/energy/focus?
>I guess I've found it helps with all of that!
>and so on...
horrible example, but the best I can think of. I just end up asking question after question and it feels like I'm interrogating someone rather than having a nice conversation.

It doesn't happen all the time, but often enough to make me ask for advice about it.

No, I mean the ceremony etc. all the traditions. White dress (looks terrible anyway), cake, party, family feuds. The whole shebang.

I'd much rather put that money into a house or something.
>>
>>17910358
It's a high volume workplace where it's easy to overlook a pin dick, you'd think it's a small finger.
>>
>>17910588
I think the point that anon was making was that you don't have to have a huge ceremony. There are people who have gotten married for next to nothing.
>>
>>17910588
I got married for under $1000. The car rental was the biggest expense, followed by my tux.
Money from the wedding went to the honeymoon.

If you're young, losing weight is a good start. If you're middle aged, guys are going to be more suspect of a thin woman than one who has mom tits.

When I was separated, I really didn't care that much about how much she weighed. I eliminated the women who spent four hours a day in the gym and ate only kale as well as the 600lb hambeasts. Every other woman probably has some respect for themselves, has the right parts in the right places and has a chance to prove she can talk as well as suck.
>>
>>17910622
>>17910601
I live in a place where if you're together for a certain number of years you get the same benefits of a married couple.

So without the ceremony, it's just a complete waste of time, that I'm not bothered with.
>>
>>17910644
>I live in a place where if you're together for a certain number of years you get the same benefits of a married couple.
That's fair enough, but that does often add an extra step when it comes to these benefits and other legal processes, since the onus is on you to prove that you're in a de facto relationship. Getting married on paper, even if you don't have a ceremony or anything, is a pretty simple way to get around that extra step.
>>
>>17910644
I'm not knocking you, just understand that there are women out there (don't know your gender, don't care) who might say that, but really want deep in their psyche the ceremony. It might come up later.
>>
>>17910593
This still doesn't make sense. Be more specific. What workplace is that? Why are you looking at another guy's crotch?

>>17910601
No point in marriage if you aren't making a huge ceremony.

>>17910656
Why would anyone want to prove they're in a relationship? Most often, people would want to prove they are not.
>>
>>17910663
I am a girl, and I highly doubt it. Weddings are just another reason to get my extended family together. Plus as I said before, wedding dresses look shit.
>>
>>17910677
>Why would anyone want to prove they're in a relationship?
For the benefits that anon was talking about. For example, say her partner dies and doesn't leave a will or there's some sort of opposition to the will. If she were married to him, then she wouldn't have to show that she's in a relationship with him in order to get first priority over the estate, because the fact that they're married creates that presumption. If they're not married, that's another hoop she has to jump through, which just adds to an already stressful situation.
>>
>>17910678
If you don't want to, you don't have to. But if you would like to avoid the situation that >>17910686
advocates, you can always do solely a municipal / county licence. Gives you the legal status without the bullshit of the ceremony; just double check the laws in your jurisdiction.

that would be ideal... if i found someone who is faithful and loving.

i'm not much of a social person but i get on fine with people i'm comfortable around, so it'd be nice to have a forever friend.

i get kind of bored and sick of constantly having to re-introduce myself and my likes/dislikes to a new s/o, no matter how attractive they are.

but i realize it's sort of unrealistic and incredibly rare, and i am not religious. so i'm also satisfied dying alone with a dozen cats and my hobbies to keep me busy.

Depends on the guy. Right now that's all I want really, because I'm not in a good place for a relationship. I know other men who'd only be friendly with some gal who wasn't interested on the chance she introduces him to her friends.

Most women are pretty boring friends though.

The girl I like(d) and seemed to like me back kissed another guy. I'm not even that sad, just a little annoyed and frustrated: I thought I finally met a girl that cared about me, but I was wrong. Again. Sometimes I feel I'm gonna spend the rest of my life completely alone, other times I just try to forget her and focus my attention towards other girls, but I still think about her.
I'd really like to forget her and move on, got any tips?

Question for girls, especially non-Asian girls.

Would you date an Asian guy?

If yes:
>Why?

If no:
>Is it because of the small penis stereotype, or is it because of something else?

I'm mainly interested in hearing from the "no" answers. I totally understand that everyone has their preferences, but I've always wanted to hear specific reasons from a sample group.
>>
>>17908562
>fat/poorfag that's had reasonable success with women
Be honest here, how was the overall quality of women you've dated?

Just because you've dated a lot doesn't mean I'll readily believe that you've dated hot chicks with stable employment. Given your caliber, I can only assume that the women you've dated were also fat and poor.
>>
Girls - I've known this girl for a while and thought of her just as a friend. However I caught feelings a couple of months ago and admitted it to her and it was awkward between the two of us for a while BC she wasn't interested. I didn't ask her out and said I wanted to stay friends. Now I've moved on but the banter isn't there like it was before and she's not messaging me as much, assumedly because she feels awkward about what happened. How do I resurrect this so it's no longer awkward and she knows for certain I have no further romantic feelings about her?

You can never fix awkwardness between crushes.

Do you like getting lifted up by your bf? I love to lift my gf up when I wanna kiss her and make her feel petite and feminine and me manly.

>>
>>17911590
I think I can provide a general answer.

Below 5'3": They either really really hate it, or they really really like it. No middle ground, for some reason.

Between 5'4" and 5'6": Mostly no preference.

Over 5'7": They like it, but it's hard for them to find a guy who can do it.

-

Lightweight: Like if tall or average, dislike if short.

Midweight: No strong preference.

Heavyweight: Would probably like it, but it's next to impossible.

Can ugly people get a chance to impress a girl? Like seriously, I've had it with girls ignoring me, I'm going to start lifting weights this year (I fucking swear it and if it doesn't I'll kill myself) and make myself look more hygienic.
And do girls ever get interested with socially retarded and introvert guys? I want a gf before I reach 27 this November.

Getting /fit/ probably won't help a whole lot. Women are more impressed by personality and behaviour than they are by physique. You just have to not be morbidly obese or a skelly. Still exercise tho, its good for you.

Spend time practising and actively developing your social skills and resolving your emotional issues. Read Models by Mark Manson, it helped me, it might help you.

I've been trying to talk a lot and I have yet to impress a single girl in my life. Probably it's because I have speech disorder and most of the time I had to take a long pause to process what I had to say in a normal conversation, and I could hardly pick up jokes too since I am a serious person.

It's like I had to be born ugly and a social retard. This post alone took me 3 mins. of my fucking time to make to backtrack on my posts and check its grammar and spelling.

4chan was originally a board for discussing anime, or Japanese cartoons.

People started calling them "Chinese cartoons" ironically, because all Asians rook arike to white people.

Then it started deviating more and more. What was originally "Chinese cartoons" further devolved into other parodies, usually in the form of some Asian country, and a certain form of artistic medium. I saw examples such as "Laotian Poetry," "Vietnamese Latte Art," "Malaysian Tapestry," and so on.

I've even started to see countries from other continents, as well as things beyond artistic mediums. I think the weirdest I saw was "Israeli Math Tutoring" and "Senegalese Salt Mining".

girls

what would you say about this girl and her relationship:
actually pretty ok as long as it isn't love-related. my life is awesome atm, uni, work, training, health. couldn't be better.
but then I go on this board and everything turns to shit.
thinking a lot about us lately, about you especially, whether you would actually be able to keep certain promises or whether it was all just "Fassade" to convince me. yea, been doing a lot of them thinkingsss.
but he's still present and in many aspects, compared to him, you just "abschmierst". i would like to be able to stop comparing you two, him to you, you to him, but it's impossible. as much as I can't stop thinking about you when he's around, I strongly believe that I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about certain nice things with him if I was to be with you right now.
the big problem is that both of you came so closely one after the other in my life. it's impossible to see you without considering the other. sometimes i think a break from both of you would do me good.
i hate hurting you with these texts and mood/opinion-swings but you wanted the truth: that's what my brain looks like. maybe it cheers you up to know that i feel comfortable telling you the truth. he can't handle the truth, rages, i feel sorry because the only reason he rages is because he loves me unconditionally and i hurt his feelings, i feel guilty, i apologize, and it all starts again until the next time I bring up the truth, he rages...
now i feel even worse cause i told you. but you wanted the truth

i really wonder how this situation will look like 50 years from now, maybe i can laugh about this when i'm grey and old

Idk, things like that annoy me: they talk like evolution is a proven fact. Science of today interest me more than silly theory of origin. The book is good though! Also reading/re-reading "flowers for algernon." One of my top five favorite books. It's been a while since reading it. The only time i tried we both understood that it was just friendship. She even did all the friendzone shenanigans that girls do to the guys they're not interested in and I didn't even care, it was more than understood for me that this was about being friends and nothing else.

One day she got lonely, tried to get it on with me, got embarassed and angry because I just saw her as a friend and not as a woman, and ghosted me out of her life.

So even if the man doesn't initiates, the friendship still has a high chance to crumble since you are both friends and that means that you both like something of the other part.

girls

is this normal?

maybe i'm assuming veeeeeeeery hard here but well:
you don't know or can't seem to understand why i'm "doing this to myself", this staying with him even though it's hard, being loyal and everything. maybe this is a result of our different family backgrounds. no judging here, just saying that maybe for you, it's easier to understand or to accept a break up, but for me, coming from a traditional-marriage-'happy'-life-together home that's been like this for generations now, with my grandparents falling in love very young and staying together, to my parents also marrying very young and still being together... maybe this somehow influences me in thinking that breaking up equals giving up. i don't know.
and maybe it's what i was afraid of: that you would brek up with me easier than for example he would, because he also comes from a similar home like mine.
assumptions over
>who the hell rages if he can't handle the truth? like what the fuck..
i was his first, he learned everything about relationships from me: maybe I was the one who fucked him up? maybe i taught him to rage in front of the truth? and now i should just drop him because i'm not happy anymore with what I created?
maybe it's not that way, he's probably also responsible for himself, but maaan, my brain tells me that it's like this.

I'd assume they're kisses, but if she didnt send them before, and is sending them now after hour long convos, thats a good sign right.

Dunno much about texting. But I wouldnt text anyone every day. Also thats pretty long winded, I ask questions if i'm interested.

Yea, but that girl seems to flake out on meeting up with him. That's the concern here.

Maybe the age gap may be a concern?

Yeah i'd avoid it, if she cant make it and suggests an alternate time is the only good sign.

Eh, true. She seems to find a way out, and then stops responding for a week. Then she resumes messaging.

From what I know, he's 19 and she is in her 20's.

Also, it seems like she is hinting at having him try again with stuff like

>There is a 1968 movie on the book, perhaps A good movie night movie (never saw it).

>Have you ever wandered around five points/riverside? When your at campus, you should check it out. A lot of coffee shoppes and bagel/smoothie places. Peanut butter smoothie = yum."

>I don't look like a Disney fan? Lol! It's because of my mature/pessimistic personality . . . Isn't it (lol). Love the Mickey Mouse! Do you like Disney? I'm going to Epcot, if that defends my maturity any (lol).

And she told him the day she's going in a different message

If a girl says "we can hang out later, I'm busy" is it always a sly way of rejecting you?

Asked a girl if she wanted to meet up and she said she would, but followed up with a message saying something like "probably not until the summer though, because of school."

That took me by surprise because the summer is so far away.
