Is this decent enough to post on social stuff?
Which one, the one from the start or the one that starts at 1:38?
yeah, the first one is quite good

i don't want people to think i'm a casual amateur. does it sound like that?
>>17792665
Nah, it sounds good. I don't think people will think it sounds casual. The only thing you need to worry about is the "oh look another guitarist, I'm so impressed" response
huehue foam mic stand
Didn't listen to it. But posting your work on social media is a great way to get suggestions from a wide array of people on how to make it better. I post my shitty music on fb all the time and my friends tell me what they like/ don't like about it. I feel like it's made my work better.
Tldr, go for it

And amateur?
>>17792721
Well, the fact is you are an amateur, even though you're good. That's going to color the perception of it a little bit. But everyone starts somewhere.

How good?
The playing sounds anxious doesnt it? I think i'll keep it and wait till i'm more rounded to post stuff
>>17792744
Well you clearly don't have very much self-confidence. I don't think it sounds anxious. It's fine, just post it. Do a soundcloud at least. Gotta start somewhere.

I prefer the second and think it starts off better but it sounds like you didn't finish it.
I like solos with ups and downs and a bit more variety. for me the first one it gets a bit dull and what I mean by not going anywhere
still both are good listening and sound nice
you can't really please everyone with music.
just write songs that you like yourself and post them if you think other people might like it as well.

If it sounds like amateur noodling rather than well-rounded music i'd rather and wait to record in a day i'm playing better cause i want to impress people

The second? Its here, starts at 2:46 https://a.clyp.it/0pzzccks.mp3
i cut to only that short part that is on OP because i got lost
im looking for a good sounding, not too long section to post
yeah i too think i got a bit lost and went nowhere

Did you hear the second one without cut? The beginning of it isnt too sloppy? What you think?
