I'm not an expert but as far as I know taking multivitamins isn't really a "must" thing and neither is it something you *shouldn't* do. Multivitamins will help you makeup for vitamin deficiencies you have in certain areas and stuff and whatever extra vitamins you have your body will either use or throw out.

But do note these do not give you energy. These help your body function. Calories are what give you energy and/or gain weight.

You could use them. A better idea would be to have your blood levels checked to observe any deficiencies and supplement accordingly. A multivitamin is like a shotgun approach. If you still are going to take these at least have an eye for symptoms of overdoes for example twitching at extremities caused by too much B6.
