Thinking I might be doing Navy OCS next month.
What am I in for?
Before anyone asks I already did all the paperwork and MEPS. Just waiting for them to tell me when I can start.
I've got two college degrees but haven't been able to find a job for 8 months now. So a couple months ago I bit the bullet and talked to a Navy recruiter.
I watched some Youtube vids on OCS and now I'm all paranoid I won't be able to cut it.
But even if I get through OCS I feel like maybe I'm screwing up by joining the Navy?
I've been in college so long but can't find a job anywhere that'll pay me decently so I'm living with my parents right now, so anything sounds better than this.
But by the time I get out of the Navy I'll be 30, I'm 26 now.
I don't know if I want to do this if it means missing out on what's left of my 20's.
So anyone gone through OCS? Or you know, general advice on how to not feel like I've missed out on my 20's?

I've been trying to learn Navy ranks so I figured it was appropriate.

Relax. It will be easy. Do what your told, 100% effort at all times, attempt perfection in everything you do (YOU CANNOT ACHIEVE PERFECTION BUT YOU CAN STRIVE TO ACHIEVE IT). If you think OCS is going to be hard then this experience will be good overall for your personal growth as a human being.
Officer here, training is more annoying than anything. Also expect to wait another 8 months at least till you start. Nothing happens fast in the military.

6 year contract, plus 4 years prior service because i enlisted after college so i could get in good with some pilots before i went for it.
