I'm not much older than you (21) but when I do it to my friends who are younger, I'm just kind of poking fun at them in a non-malicious way. If it's from friends I don't think you need to be concerned.

Otherwise, like other people have said, it may be because you look young or are inexperienced. Even then I wouldn't personally worry about it.

not necessarilly. i look like a teenage boy, so everyone thinks of me as a boy or a kid.

but i manage a business, am in the process of hiring my first assistant, live on my own in the city, etc. etc. so none of that really fucking matters, does it? most people are impressed when they figure out what i got going on, but im still a kid to them.

Kid is pretty subjective and based on looks or personality. Not much you can do there.
But if you're a kid with all that, then you're already better than 80% of all adults anyways.
Just keep bringing up your achievements like you've been doing, stay proud, and embrace the eternal youth you were blessed with.
You could also act slightly offended, then watch as other party stumbles after your achievement dickwave.
