I smoke weed and cigarettes.
I hve self-diagnosed myself with some minor periodontal disease on account of the discoloration on my bottom gums.
I'd like somone who knows anything about this to let me know how bad mine is or what I can do to help myself besides the obvious choice to stop smoking.
You could literally solve that by flossing regularily

You're telling me that I could continue to smoke and floss my bottom teeth once a night and the discoloration would be less dramatic?

Yes, that's what I'm saying

I'm so hesitant to believe it would be that simple. Like.. I just flossed today and in addition to properly cleaning my teeth it made my bleed a little bit.

Few know the power of floss. Your teeth aren't even that bad, just yellow in the areas that floss will clear up. Also the bleeding is a clear indicator that you don't floss often enough

Ever used a water pick, or a sonicare? The massaging nature helps. Brush with baking soda every now and then (you can brush normally before or after), this will whiten. Finally use a fluoride toothpaste.
t. someone who does not smoke, but suffered from really hyperactive bacteria for a long time. My dentists were confused by it sometimes.

It's not particularly the teeth I'm worried about its just the bottom gums that are bright red and dark purple that slightly panicking me.
>>17569365
Oh. They seem mostly fine to me, I don't know

I used to have one of those expensive sonicares a few years back but I've recently just been using a normal ass toothbrush(using it well). I don't have the money for a water pick.

Look at where the left finger is.. That bright red isn't exactly pretty or healthy looking to me.

I'd consider saving up for scifi shit, but fluoride and baking soda is good for now.
