Hey /adv/ I need some help, I don't have a social life and don't have any idea on how to get one, I was socially isolated for the entirety of my childhood and teen years.

Try volunteering. Normal society is cold but nonprofits will be happy to see you and want to talk to you about their work. Your time is valuable so don't give up too much, but a little time spent doing stuff other people don't want to do will make plenty of friends.

Dale carnegies book how to win friends and influence people also listen to npr or similar radio news to get a feel for how journalists make conversations with strangers and how people talk casually about serious ideas/issues besides small talk.
