What can I do to help my brother who is addicted to subutex? I have stopped giving him money so I won't be enabling his addiction, still trying to convince my mom and grandma to stop giving money too. What else?

he needs to figure out for himself that he is better off without it. that's hard for other people to figure out for him.

maybe counseling could help?

No, seriously, it's up to him. Suboxone takes a long time to get off, and even once the major withdrawal symptoms stop he'll probably be so miserable that he'll come right back to it out of desperation.

The important thing is you're not giving up on him.

Nothing's going to change until he wants it to.

Have you talked to a doctor or pharmacist about things he could use to wean off of subutex? What did they say?
