I'm an amateur writer, i mostly write poetry and short stories. Only a handful of publications in a few fanzines and sort.
A friend of mine who is an actor is kind of becoming quit successful, every one loves him and praise him, hes like a brother to me.
Thing is, he has the opportunity to get a play produce. He has both producer and theater ready. But not play, who he calls ? Me. We talked i showed him a few a ideas, he says: "ok anon start writing you have a few months"
He really really liked my ideas, but im fucking scare as shit, and i need to write those ideas and fuckin pressure is killing me.
ADVICE.

Write. Write. Write. Rely on the strategies that got you through your short stories. Find a couple plays, and look at how they worked. They should at least give you some ideas to generate the larger structure of a play.

Poetry is dead. Post some of your short stories.
Jesus, if you're a writer then I hope English is not your first language

Set aside a time that you can spend writing everyday.
Maybe an hour when you wake up or an hour before you go to bed.
Never miss a day.
If you don't do this, you will not succeed as a writer.
No if's and's or but's about it.

>read this
>stumped at the end
>read it again
are you german or does this idiom work in english?
OP here, i just made a basic outline describing the sinopsis and general theme. I also named and describe the characters and some basic locations.
I think that's enough for a fist day. Tomorrow i will expand the outline mark the conflict points and general arcs and connections, etc.
Then ill start writing the core dialog and action over the structure so i don't drift off.

A mastery of very basic English grammar and spelling might be considered a prerequisite for a would-be writer. (Can you spot the 23 separate errors in your post?)

The "no ifs, ands, etc" part? Yeah, people say that in English. I usually only hear it from older women, though. I'm not the anon you're replying to, if that matters
