I have a colleague at university, with whom I have a common friend (guy) I hang out with often. He´s pretty much my only friend there but the guy I´m talking about is really popular and outgoing.
So the thing is, we can talk for hours on the internet, about anything really. Have a lively, fun conversation, even slightly kinky at times, crack jokes within reasonable limits and then the next day, when we meet face to face at a course, he doesn´t even look at me and barely mumbles a ´hello´. Mostly talks with our common friend and then ignores me the rest of the day. And then this shit repeats itself.
I´m not interested in this guy, but his behavior is confusing. Does he like me in the slightest but is shy (he´s NOT a shy guy, generally) or is indifferent and just wastes his time away with random conversations online but doesn´t bother afterwards???

I really don't know what he talks about with others but he seems okay with them. Isn't it more awkward acting like this I mean I don't pretend to be super close and talk about the same shit, but not even looking me in the eye and barely addressing me a word is odd and it makes it awkward for me as well cause I feel out of place and stupid

Why not ask him about it online where he seems more comfortable?
