I haven't been here in years /adv/. I got a girls number last night but I know she's very busy(60 hour work weeks). I don't want to go straight to asking her out, but I have no idea how to text with someone I don't know. I worked with her a few months ago but hadn't seen her since then and I don't know her particularly well.

Just text her and ask her if she is available to hang out anytime soon.
Don't get all hung up on the What ifs and she is busy. If she want to spend time with you she will make time, if she doesn't its her loss.

This. Additionally, I will add that, if she does pencil you in, but weeks in advance, proceed with caution. Be gracious, but just be ready for her to flake.
