You can pay for your own background check online, just be sure its a ligament place doing them. I did one one my self after being denied a job and found someone had stolen my identity in California and been arrested. I knew the woman in the mug shot was not me. It was a real pain in the ass having to get that removed off my record, but a judge did. Best $40 I ever spent on that background check.
