/adv/, I occasionally have to email very important and busy people. In the midst of their 1000's of unread emails (I've glimpsed their inboxes before), they have to read mine as I'm a priority sender, despite being a small fish
When I ask a question and they respond with an answer (usually 'yes, that's fine' or something equally short), should I reply with a thanks for their reply?
Or is that likely an unwelcome priority message to add to their inbox?
I get a lot of emails. Your thanks would not bother me in the slightest. In fact, I might appreciate your thanks because it means I can stop thinking about your email chain.

its a good idea to do that, because it lets people know that you saw their email
