Yo here's something a bit less depressing as a change on this board.
I'm thinking about starting up a podcast/radio hybrid. It'd be downloaded like a podcast, but have the format of radio in which I would speak about things and then play some music. I would edit it all together using either audacity or something less amateur-like.
This is something I'm doing for fun for myself to work on my speaking and it's a creative outlet, probably won't even put it out on the internet for anyone but a couple of close friends.
Now a couple of questions regarding this is as follows:
First of all, the microphone I'm currently using is an AT2020, the USB+ version. Haven't had it for very long and I've got until next month to return it in case I wasn't happy with it, so I'm wondering how well suited it is, if anyone is familliar with it. I'm pretty pleased with it so far though.
2. Any good examples of what to think of? Such as how long i should speak between the songs. Trying to get the whole thing to about an hour, so having real radio shows as a blueprint of sorts could help.
3. What sort of theme could work? I'm thinking a "late-night" vibe.
Any advice would be helpful really when it comes to audio editing.

The only advice I can give you is do the kind of show you want to listen to, not what you think people want.
It'll come off way better like that.
