What the fuck is this thing under my tongue? It's like a little proboscis.
Doesn't hurt, doesn't really feel like anything. It's been there a few weeks but I sort of only just noticed what it looks like.
No, it's not an STI. It seems to have occured a day or two after the sudden, sharp pain (like a cramp) I felt in my tongue and jaw one time.

I don't know exactly what they're called but it's a benign phenomenon. Happened to me once, really freaked me out and felt uncomfortable (like I couldn't find a good place to rest my tongue in my mouth), but went away after a few days. I think it's an inflamed salivary duct or something?
