Guys I am turning 31 next Tues.
I'm living in NYC but I'm still living with my parents
I've got a job with the city where I make 39,000 annual basically 2000 a month after taxes.
Want to move out
The shittiest 1BD apartments in NYC seem to be a min 1250
The whole moving out prospects sort of scares me.

What do I do, I feel trapped?

Find a better job? Go finish a degree? Move to Bumfuck, Alabama?

There are plenty of options. It's not too late to get an education!

id move. not sure what that job is but assuming its not one of those really bad jobs that are minimum wage outside of the city, you'll do just fine.

i live in los angeles off of 1500 dollars a month.

you can find the rihgt place to live with your work experience.

I've got a B.S just couldn't find a job for the longest

It's a government job, city of New York I'm in civil service.

not entirely sure what that is, but it reads like it will give you options outside of new yorl. you may still be bound to cities but not the most expensive city in the country.

check out your other options

Essentially my department handles the eligibility and recertification for EBT applications. It's not really a job you can move in and out of as I had to take an exam to get in.

I don't know if there are state to state or city to city transfers for this line of work.

>dont know if theres transfers

find out. but yeah, sounds like typical government stuff. iwth this on your resume you should be able to handle any real office job. in los angeles office administrators (re: a receptionist with extra duties) makes 40 thousand a year. still cost a lot to live here depending on what area you choose.

either way look into your options
