I need some opinions on something that happened a while ago thats nagging at me, I am sure I made the wrong choice

>walking home
>guy is passed out drunk
>his friend is trying to wake him
>I walk over and take a look
>he is fucked but his mates are picking him up and walking
>I leave but hang around nearby while people say bye
>something is bugging me
>Start walking home but say I want to take another look
>one of my friends starts getting angry about how its not my problem and how I should leave it because I am on a night out
>end up walking on
>its still bugging me, he was just a little too far gone for it to sit right

tl;dr:
concerned about guy, end up doing nothing cuz friend

its more my friends reaction to my concern with hostility
I have heard about it happening but it was startling to deal with it myself
