To OP: Don't bother with "friends" with exs. They aren't friends. They never will be. This is something you learn as you get older. About the only time it's acceptable and actually worthwhile being friends with exs is when you have a kid with them. It's better to cut them out of your life completely, as too many issues arise from keeping them in your life.
