I find that using a service/app that lets you play a radio based on an artist or album really helps. Things like I Heart Radio, Spotify, Google Play Music, Last.Fm are all decent.
You just have to listen until you hear something new that like then see who the artist is a go from there. Sometimes I look up similar bands or even bands that influenced bands I like to find music.
Music is easy to find, but music you really like is hard to find.

>Music is easy to find, but music you really like is hard to find.
Never have truer words been uttered.

Oh man, you're right along the lines of my tastes. Especially with the industrial. If you have steam or something I can spam you with links.
>>17106539
Can't you just use pastebin.com?
>>17106560
Theoretically yea, but its easier to post some stuff and see what they like before continuing with the onslaught of links. Otherwise the list will end up being like 500 songs long.
Get Pandora

I don't have a steam, sorry. Any other ideas?
>>17106577
I have Spotify, I don't need another service.

Skype would work too. When I'm trying to find music I either use tastekid or youtube. Those playlists give you some good stuff from time to time.

one second. I have to figure out my password
Dunno maybe these if you like EDM
Stage - Voodoo dance
Rudy & Co - Mama radio
Styloo - Pretty face
Apple in Jacket - New world
Fashion T. - I won't forget
Secret Lovers - I see it in your eyes
Dyva - Unbelievable
Baltinore - Strangers from the light
Fancy - Slice me nice
Tension - My dream
>>17106587
Well, my Skype isn't working. So that's out of the picture.

lol, no
Read histroies of music or books about the artist you like, look at similar albums on rym and last.fm, listen to the radio (seriously- independent stations, jazz stations, classical and (irrelevant, but) stuff like npr is great)
>>17106662
oh, similar albums on discogs too

I think that another important part of finding good music is branching out from what you're accustomed to listening to. If you're always looking for a similar high within one genre, it's going to get harder and harder to find, because you're becoming increasingly comfortable over time.
If you're into EDM and stuff, it probably wouldn't be that difficult to transition into stuff like trip hop, which I've been a big fan of for a few years. It's almost entirely instrumental, and it's got lots of weird samples. If you're interested at all, try starting with Blockhead. He's one of my favorites, and he's how I got into the genre in the first place. He even runs a pretty mediocre blog that I follow sometimes

First, Pandora, then /mu/
Based on your stuff, things like thievery corporation, massive attack, sigur ros, and deltron 3030 might be your kinda jam. If you're into things to gear you down, try bineural beats on youtube. Ambiant atmospheric keyboard synth. Comfy shit, anon
Pandora's good. You type in a band then it will play similar music, then you like/dislike each song and it will tune songs based on your choices.
As far as finding new things? I dunno. Maybe make a thread somewhere and ask people to post their favorite songs regardless of genre.

Orrr make a thread and ask ppl to post multiple favorite songs from different genres.

Nothing too obscure or unheard-of here, but maybe there's something you'll be interested in.
