23 year old male here, started shitting blood a year or so ago and now have constant stomach pains, fatigue, cannot sleep and my tongue is very swolen. I went to the hospital and got nothing, my doc has got me some tests in a months time & she said it may be over a year before I know what's actually wrong. Go doc now anon - what do you have to loose by going? i regret not going straight away.

Blood in your stool should always be checked anon. I had blood in my stool and it turned out to be celiac disease. You could also be lacking fibre in your diet as well.

Is the blood fresh and light or old and dark?

If it's the latter, that usually means stomach or intestinal bleeding which is serious.

I had bright and red blood once, and it turns out I cut my anus somehow. Wasn't even internat, but whenever I'd poo, it would open the sore and bleed all over. That was probably TMI, but whatever.

If it's dark or especially black, that's a big deal. That means it's internal and it bad news.

Either way, I'd see a doctor. Especially if this has been going on for more than, say, a few days.
