Why do people say "yeah man, I'm 100% in" on plans and then not really mean it? Especially when it comes to things that are major events and not just weekend plans or whatever?
How do I get people to be clear that they think it's a good idea, but they still need to make a decision? It's driving me crazy. I've been working on all of these plans and now people are saying "well I wasn't really sure I was gonna go anyways." It's like, 4 different things, with different groups of people.
maybe if they liked you they wouldn't hesitate
because people are dicks.

I have a ton of friends - these aren't plans based around me. They're a bachelor party, a trip to visit our friend in California, a beach trip to our friend's condo, and another trip for a wedding.
Getting just one to show up defeats the purpose - all of these trips are contingent on us traveling together.
